Lisbon Monuments
Lisbon is a combination of marks of the past and signs of the modern times. Lisbon monuments are coming to enhance the glorious past of Portugal and many times there are almost mandatory destinations for tourists.
Once a symbol of King João II’s power, Torre de Belem (Tower of Belém) is one of the Lisbon monuments most visited. The Tower and the Jeronimos Monastery (Mosteiro dos Jerónimos) are two Lisbon monuments classified by UNESCO as World Heritage Site. Located on the highest of Lisbon's seven hills, Castelo de São Jorge (Castle of St George) is another one of Lisbon monuments, offering magnificent views of the city.
